On the 12th, Saturday, rain is forecasted nationwide, with strong winds and thunderstorms expected in some areas.

The Korea Meteorological Administration noted in a forecast released on the 11th that “the atmosphere will be very dry, particularly in Daejeon, Chungbuk, and Gyeongbuk inland, and starting in the afternoon, rain will fall in most areas nationwide, and caution is required for strong winds, rough seas, gusts, and thunderstorms.”

Rain is expected to start in Jeju Island in the morning and will spread nationwide from the afternoon to overnight, with a possibility of rain or snow in the mountainous regions of Gangwon late at night. The expected precipitation will vary by region.

The expected precipitation amounts are ▲ 20-50 mm in the five islands of the West Sea ▲ 5-30 mm in Incheon and the western coastal areas of Gyeonggi, as well as Gyeonggi northwestern inland ▲ 5-20 mm in Seoul and Gyeonggi inland ▲ 5-20 mm in Gangwon inland and mountainous areas ▲ 5-10 mm in the eastern coast of Gangwon ▲ 5-30 mm in Chungbuk ▲ 5-20 mm in Daejeon, Sejong, and Chungnam ▲ 10-50 mm in the southern coastal areas of Jeonnam and eastern inland ▲ 5-30 mm in Gwangju and Jeonnam ▲ 5-20 mm in Jeonbuk ▲ 10-50 mm in the southwestern coastal areas and southwestern inland of Gyeongnam ▲ 5-30 mm in Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam ▲ 5-20 mm in Daegu and Gyeongbuk, as well as Ulleungdo and Dokdo ▲ 20-80 mm in Jeju Island ▲ 10-40 mm in northern Jeju Island.

In areas where rain or snow falls, visibility may decrease and roads may become slippery, so special attention to traffic safety is necessary, including maintaining a sufficient distance between vehicles and driving at reduced speeds.

Additionally, from the afternoon, very strong winds are expected to blow in the Seoul Metropolitan Area, Chungnam, Jeolla, and the southern coast of Gyeongnam, including Jeju Island, with strong winds anticipated to begin from tomorrow night in Gangwon, Chungbuk, and Gyeongsang regions. Wind gusts are expected to exceed 70 km/h (20 m/s) in some areas, necessitating preparations for damage from strong winds.

The expected minimum morning temperatures in major cities are 13 degrees Celsius in Seoul, 12 degrees in Incheon, 11 degrees in Suwon, 7 degrees in Chuncheon, 12 degrees in Gangneung, 12 degrees in Cheongju, 11 degrees in Daejeon, 11 degrees in Jeonju, 11 degrees in Gwangju, 9 degrees in Daegu, 10 degrees in Busan, and 14 degrees in Jeju.
