The Korea Creative Content Agency announced on the 24th that it will recruit startups and prospective entrepreneurs to participate in the '2025 Content Startup Support Project' supporting the co-growth of the K-content industry through public-private cooperation until April 9.

The agency has revamped its support projects since last year in line with the government's 'Startup Korea Comprehensive Plan' aimed at transforming into a global startup powerhouse, led by private specialized institutions such as ▲ startup incubation organizations ▲ startup planners (accelerators) ▲ leading companies. This public-private partnership maximizes the co-growth effect between private specialized institutions and participating companies through two-way support.

The agency plans to provide extensive support for startups, from recruitment to nurturing, in collaboration with 14 private institutions selected through a public recruitment process in February.

The recruitment scale includes ▲ 40 prospective entrepreneurs (teams) in the idea commercialization support field ▲ 18 startups in the accelerator linkage support field ▲ 10 startups in the leading company linkage co-growth support (content open innovation) field ▲ 14 startups in the investment linkage startup leap program field, totaling 82 projects across four fields.

'Idea commercialization support' is a program that helps innovative ideas lead to startups, selecting a total of 40 prospective entrepreneurs (including teams) from four incubation organizations. Prospective entrepreneurs will receive startup support vouchers worth 5 million won, as well as support for idea prototype development, commercialization, and investment attraction.

'Accelerator linkage support' is a program that discovers and fosters content companies established for less than seven years in conjunction with startup planners, selecting a total of 18 startups in collaboration with three institutions. The agency will provide up to 90 million won in commercialization funds per startup, and the startup planners will conduct customized capacity enhancement programs along with direct investments of over 300 million won.

'Leading company linkage co-growth support' is a program that supports co-growth and new business discovery through business cooperation (PoC, technology verification) between leading companies and startups, selecting 10 innovative startups within seven years from seven leading organizations. Collaborations will be conducted on four themes in the content sector's innovation area for 2025 (IP economy, fandom business, artificial intelligence, platform) and can receive up to 75 million won in commercialization support and various infrastructure provided by leading companies.

'Investment linkage startup leap program' is a program aimed at expanding investment for content startups, recruiting 14 innovative startups that secure a single investment of more than 400 million won from private investment institutions since January 2024. This program provides up to 200 million won in commercialization funds and also offers tailored programs according to the growth stage of the companies, including specialized consultations (consulting, mentoring), corporate investment briefings (IR), business linkages (biz matching), and promotion.

An information session on the content startup support project will be held on the 27th at 2 p.m. in the conference room on the 11th floor of the Gwanghwamun CKL Business Support Center. It will provide guidance on the direction and detailed content of each support project, applicant qualifications, and application methods, and a consultation window with private institutions participating in the project will also be operated.
