It has been reported that SK Square's subsidiary SK Planet, which operates OK Cashbag, and app market subsidiary ONE store are accepting voluntary retirement applications from all employees.

According to the industry on the 24th, SK Planet plans to individually notify the applicants of the approval status for voluntary retirement through a review, and those approved will leave the company on the 30th of next month. The application period is from the 31st of this month to the 11th of next month. The retirement conditions include special retirement payments based on years of service and age. Those born after 1986 will receive 12 months of their basic salary, while those born between 1976 and 1985 will receive 14 to 18 months based on their years of service. Those born before 1975 will be calculated at 20 to 24 months of their basic salary based on their years of service.

SK Planet explained that it is implementing voluntary retirement considering the instability of external management environments such as high exchange rates and the contraction of the consumer market, along with the internal stagnation of long-term growth and the weakening of its business model and service base.

ONE store, the app market subsidiary of SK Square, also recently conducted its first voluntary retirement since its establishment. The participation was voluntary from employees, and the application period has recently ended. However, it has been reported that the actual number of retirees is not high due to the economic downturn.

The ongoing organizational slimming of SK Square's ICT subsidiaries is part of SK Group's rebalance strategy. Since last year, SK Group has been promoting a rebalance aimed at improving profitability through fundamental competitiveness enhancement (OI - Operation Improvement) and management efficiency through mergers and sales of group companies.
