The three telecommunications companies (SK Telecom, KT, LG Uplus) are providing temporary Wi-Fi services and relief supplies to the affected areas in Sancheong County, Gyeongnam, where a large forest fire occurred.

According to industry sources on the 23rd, SK Telecom is currently providing temporary Wi-Fi and smartphone charging services for residents evacuated from the site and relief personnel. Alongside the operation of the situation room, they are distributing relief kits, power banks, and chargers.

KT is operating a charging station at the integrated command center located at the Sancheong Pumped Storage Power Plant and has stated that it will support relief supplies after confirming the necessary items through the Sancheong County Office. They plan to supply 200 pairs of socks and underwear for firefighters, as well as snacks, water, and beverages for public assistance. Additionally, they plan to provide temporary Wi-Fi through LTE routers.

LG Uplus is also dispatching charging vehicles to assist affected residents and will support residents and relief personnel with smartphone charging, lending of public power banks, and temporary Wi-Fi services at the evacuation shelters set up at Dansung Elementary School and Dansung Middle School. They will provide children's relief kits consisting of coloring books and toys to support childcare, and will collaborate with the Animal Liberation Alliance to assist with pet relief efforts.
