Naver Connect Foundation (Chairman Cho Gyu-chan) will collaborate with the Korea Information and Communication Industry Promotion Agency (Director Heo Seong-wook) to expand AI and software education opportunities for elementary school students. To this end, the two organizations signed a memorandum of understanding on the 14th and decided to train 800 instructors to support AI education for 30,000 elementary school students nationwide.

The Connect Foundation plans to provide two weeks of online and offline training and expert mentoring to ensure that instructors can effectively guide the "Let’s Play with Software" curriculum. The "2025 Let’s Play with Software" program aims to enhance computational thinking and AI literacy, consisting of three courses for each grade level.

This collaboration is expected to significantly improve the regional accessibility of AI education. In the first semester, training will take place in Jeonnam, Ulsan, and Gyeonggi, and in the second semester, it will expand to five regions. Instructors who complete the training will run AI and software classes at elementary schools in the respective regions from April to December.

Kim Ji-gak, leader of the Naver Connect Foundation, noted, "More than 96,000 people have developed their digital skills through 'Let’s Play with Software' until last year," and added, "As the importance of AI education has grown, we will continue to support efforts to bridge the educational gap between regions."
