NHN announced on the 14th that its zombie apocalypse game 'Darkest Days' successfully concluded a global test for users worldwide from Feb. 25 to Mar. 4.

'Darkest Days' is an open-world based shooting role-playing game (RPG) developed and prepared by NHN. Last year, the company conducted two rounds of domestic mobile closed beta tests (CBT) and received various feedback.

This global test saw approximately 57,000 users from 107 countries participating over the span of eight days. Both PC and mobile versions were made available, and the PC version could be accessed during the 'Steam Next Fest' on Steam.

NHN confirmed that the open beta test (OBT) for 'Darkest Days' is scheduled to be released at the end of April. NHN explained that this decision was made to enhance the core enjoyment of the game and address improvement points, although it initially planned to launch the OBT within the first quarter.

Kim Sang-ho, head of NHN's game division, noted, "In this global test, where the PC version was introduced for the first time, 'Darkest Days' successfully captured users' attention and increased expectations for its commercial success."

He added, "We judged that strengthening the core enjoyment of the game to meet users' expectations and laying the groundwork for global service is the right direction from a long-term perspective. We ask for your understanding regarding the adjustment of the OBT release schedule in order to provide a higher quality gaming experience and enjoyment."
