Security corporation SK shieldus is acquiring the business of Menuit, the third-largest company in the table order industry.
According to industry sources on the 12th, Menuit announced on its website on the 1st that it signed an asset transfer agreement with SK shieldus on February 28. Under this agreement, contracts with Menuit and its customers will be transferred to SK shieldus.
An asset transfer agreement refers to the act of mutually negotiating the method, price, and procedure when transferring business and tangible assets or handing them over in exchange for money.
Menuit noted, "Only the counterparty of the contract will change from our company to SK shieldus, while the rest of the contract contents will remain the same."
SK shieldus is expected to accelerate the expansion of its unmanned store solution business by utilizing its security capabilities through this contract. The company launched the table order service "Smart Order" in cooperation with Menuit in 2023. Prior to this, it also introduced unmanned store-specific solutions like "Unmanned Safe Zone" and "Serving Robot."
A representative from SK shieldus stated, "We have been reviewing various strategic opportunities to maximize business synergies while expanding our unmanned business. We have maintained a collaborative relationship with our partner Menuit in the table order market," adding, "Through this transfer agreement, we will enhance customer convenience and advance our services."
