Samsung Electronics is expanding its supply of customized heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) solutions, including high-efficiency inverters and heat pumps, to premium apartments, resorts, and hotels, targeting the global HVAC market. This year, the goal is to increase sales by more than 30%.

According to Samsung Electronics' newsroom on the 12th, the HVAC solutions business of Samsung Electronics has seen an average annual growth of over double digits in terms of sales over the past five years.

Due to the impact of energy regulations arising from climate change, urbanization, and population growth, the importance of heat efficiency management has increased, leading to a surge in demand for HVAC systems globally.

In addition to high efficiency and installation convenience, Samsung Electronics is diversifying its customized Internet of Things (IoT) solutions in response to growing demand from smart homes and corporations.

The SmartThings Pro, launched in 2024, assists with energy management in homes and smart apartment services, as well as remote maintenance of public buildings and small to medium-sized commercial facilities, building energy-saving management, personalized room experiences, and building automation operations.

Samsung Electronics plans to expand the supply of SmartThings Pro from 17 countries at the end of last year to 31 countries this year.

The building integrated management solution b.IoT, utilizing the Internet of Things (IoT), is also steadily expanding. b.IoT is a solution that integrates facilities such as lighting and power, including HVAC, into a single system to manage buildings efficiently. Samsung Electronics plans to increase the number of b.IoT launch countries from 31 at the end of last year to 36 this year.

Samsung Electronics highlighted its differentiated strengths in providing integrated solutions for business-to-business (B2B) that combine specialized products with facility management.

Convenience has been significantly enhanced with services such as quality assurance extension, unification of service windows, and operation of dedicated customer purchasing sites.

Samsung Electronics plans to accelerate its market penetration in North America with new high-efficiency heating and cooling technologies. The 'Home Heat Pump EHS,' showcased earlier this year at 'CES 2025,' is expected to expand its distribution to North American homes later this year, beyond the current 40 countries in Europe.

Additionally, through SmartThings Pro, Samsung Electronics plans to offer more sophisticated customized services for energy savings, comfort control, and maintenance based on remotely analyzed air conditioning and SmartThings-connected device data.

Choi Hang-seok, executive director of the Air Solution Business Team at Samsung Electronics, said, "With our unparalleled high-efficiency heating and cooling technology and enhanced user convenience through the SmartThings Pro consolidation experience, we will accelerate our efforts in the global HVAC market. We will provide consumers with a more convenient life through innovative customized solutions."
