Samsung Electronics and the National Samsung Electronics Labor Union (JeonSamNo) reached a tentative agreement on the 2025 wage and collective agreement on the 24th.

Samsung Electronics noted that it was about 48 days since the formal start of the 2025 wage negotiations on Jan. 7, and that the collective negotiations, which have been ongoing since last year, were also concluded alongside this wage negotiation.

Samsung Electronics decided to grant an average wage increase rate of 5.1%, 2 million points for purchasing its products through the FamilyNet Mall, and 30 shares of its own stock to all employees, and to operate a joint labor-management task force to improve the performance bonus system. Additionally, re-employment after retirement for employees with three or more children will be institutionalized.

Through this agreement, Samsung Electronics and the labor union completed the wage agreements for 2023 and 2024. JeonSamNo plans to conduct a vote among its members on whether to approve or reject the agreement by March 5.

Samsung Electronics stated, "We will take this wage and collective agreement as an opportunity for labor-management harmony and focus on enhancing business competitiveness." JeonSamNo expressed its intention to continue performing its role as the negotiating representative union.
