KT announced on the 5th that it has launched 'Gini TV Our Neighborhood,' the first region-based lifestyle information service for IPTV in Korea.
This service provides various store information such as nearby restaurants, convenience facilities, health, and education based on the location of the IPTV set-top box, and users can also receive coupons provided by the stores. Users can access it through the dedicated Gini TV menu, AI voice conversation, or by pressing remote control number 111. The 'location change' feature allows exploration of information from other areas. Additionally, the 'favorite setting' feature enables users to register favorites and receive benefit notifications.
In addition to store information, Gini TV Our Neighborhood offers information on local government events, activities, and various program details, and it operates support programs to help small businesses promote to local customers.
To celebrate the launch, KT is conducting the 'Stop for 11.1 seconds!' event. If participants stop the timer exactly at 11.1 seconds matching service number 111, they will be entered into a prize draw. This event can be participated in three times a day from the 5th to March 5th. Through a lottery, three participants will win the Roborock S8 Max Ultra, and 111 will receive a 10,000 won GS25 mobile gift certificate. Additionally, if participants post a verification photo of visiting GS25 or GS THE FRESH pages on Instagram, they will have a chance to win a 10,000 won GS25 mobile gift certificate, with 111 winners drawn.
KT plans to provide discount coupons usable at GS25 and GS THE FRESH stores nationwide in cooperation with GS Retail every month until July and aims to expand benefits in collaboration with various corporations in the future.
