Samsung Electronics collaborates with IBM to establish a disaster safety network in the United Kingdom. This marks the first time Samsung Electronics is building a disaster safety network in Europe.
According to Samsung Electronics' global newsroom on the 16th, the company has decided to provide a 'mission-critical' (MCX) solution for emergency communications to the UK government. MCX is a disaster safety network designed to maintain essential societal systems such as communication, transportation, and medical services during emergencies.
Samsung Electronics holds a solution known as 'MCPTX' in the MCX field. This solution aids responders in accurately assessing emergency situations through real-time multimedia sharing.
Samsung Electronics plans to support seamless communication during emergencies in the UK, based on its experience in establishing public safety networks in the United States and South Korea using MCPTX.
IBM will support the emergency service network in this process. Samsung Electronics also supplied the MCPTX solution to Canada in 2022, following South Korea and the United States.
