LG Electronics announced on the 14th that it has launched a new 'Whisen' product that enhances artificial intelligence (AI) features from air conditioning operation to management.

The 2025 model 'LG Whisen Objet Collection Tower I' and 'LG Whisen Objet Collection View I Pro' released by LG Electronics feature AI voice recognition, AI wind, AI home monitoring, and AI heat exchanger cleaning functionalities.

The new product equipped with the AI agent 'LG Puron' goes beyond simple voice commands with its 'AI voice recognition' that understands user intentions to control the product. For example, if a user says, 'It's too cold,' the AI responds, 'Shall I raise the desired temperature?' and if they say, 'Make it so the wind doesn't blow,' it changes the direction of the wind.

The 'AI wind' feature also applies AI to track the user's location in real-time through radar sensors and learns their preferred temperature to provide optimal cooling. Additionally, it emits quiet and soft wind below 22 dB (decibel, wind volume level 1, based on a set temperature of 24 degrees) through two outlets, controlling the airflow in the space to maintain comfort.

'AI home monitoring' allows AI to detect movement and send alerts via the LG ThinQ app, making it easy to check home safety. For instance, it is useful for parents of young children to confirm whether their child has returned home while they are out. It provides alert messages even when the product is turned off.

The air conditioner’s cleaning management performance using AI has also been improved. 'AI heat exchanger cleaning' automatically cleans the heat exchanger by analyzing data measured by humidity and temperature sensors to determine the level of contamination. It cleans even the unseen parts automatically without disassembling the product.

Additionally, it offers functions that remind users of their birthdays or anniversaries. When users set images like hearts or fireworks or input phrases in the 'smart schedule' feature of the LG ThinQ app, they can display them on the air conditioner's screen on the specified date.

This new product is also available for subscription. During the subscription period, care experts will check the product's condition, clean the fan after disassembly, replace filters, and provide maintenance benefits including free repairs.

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Whisen air conditioner launch, LG Electronics is offering benefits from today until the end of March, including ▲ a free upgrade to the wall-mounted air conditioner 'Dual Cool' upon purchasing the 25-year anniversary model View I Pro 2in1, ▲ a cash back of up to 250,000 won for purchasing the 2025 model Whisen Tower I, and ▲ answering the Whisen 25th birthday quiz correctly can win a 2in1 air conditioner worth up to 2.5 million won through a drawing.

Lee Jae-seong, head of the ES division at LG Electronics (vice president), noted, 'We will continue to provide differentiated customer experiences for a comfortable daily life by interacting with customers through smarter AI and delivering tailored air solutions.'
