Reuters reported, "The Korean Constitutional Court dismissed the impeachment motion against Prime Minister Han and ruled to restore his powers," noting that "the political situation, which had been in turmoil since Prime Minister Han was impeached two months ago, has reached a turning point."

Bloomberg also reported, "The Constitutional Court overturned the impeachment motion against Prime Minister Han and reinstated him as acting president," adding, "This ruling has drawn attention as it came before a decision regarding President Yoon Suk-yeol's impeachment."

It was mentioned, "The ruling regarding Prime Minister Han is the first case in which the Constitutional Court has made a decision related to President Yoon's martial law," and that "thousands of protesters have gathered in Seoul, watching to see whether the Constitutional Court will accept or dismiss the impeachment motion against President Yoon."

The Washington Post (WP) stated, "The Constitutional Court has reinstated Prime Minister Han amid severe political chaos," adding, "This decision was made before the National Assembly voted on the impeachment motion against Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance Choi Sang-mok."

Previously, the National Assembly passed the impeachment motion against Prime Minister Han in a plenary session on Dec. 27 last year. The Constitutional Court conducted the ruling at 10 a.m. that day and made a dismissal decision, with 5 of the 8 judges voting to dismiss, 2 voting to reject, and 1 expressing an opinion in favor.
