Choi Jun-won, CEO of Weverse Corporation, noted on the 11th (local time) at the global largest content festival 'South by Southwest (SXSW) 2025' held in Austin, Texas, that Weverse Corporation is the first among Korean corporations to participate as a panel in the SXSW Featured Session.

The session discussed the theme 'The Future of Music: Building Super Fan-Centric Businesses.' Mitra Darab, CEO of HYBE-Geffen Records, and music industry expert Sara Janisevsky discussed the meaning and role of Super Fans.

CEO Choi defined Super Fans as a fan base that shows dedication and involvement that differentiate them from regular fans, and defined Weverse's role as a 'global superstar and Super Fan customized platform.' Choi highlighted that Weverse's strength lies in providing various services, including fan communities, merchandise sales, and live streaming, all in one place.

Choi also emphasized that the role of fandom platforms is evolving. He explained, 'Fandom platforms are developing into platforms that provide customized experiences,' adding, 'The core value of a fandom platform lies in the 'atmosphere' itself where fandom is formed, beyond just technological functions.'

He further advised on the strategies of emerging artists and labels. Choi said, 'Insight is needed regarding the data provided through platforms and social media (SNS) channels,' and emphasized, 'The aspects of regional fandom should be clearly distinguished through data.'

Mitra Darab, CEO of Geffen Records, who participated as a co-panelist, also mentioned the value of Super Fans. Darab predicted, 'Super Fans are beings that lead the growth of artists beyond being simple supporters,' and added, 'Innovative platforms that revolutionize fandom participation methods will continue to emerge, including Instagram, TikTok, and Weverse.'
