The Korea Importers Association (KOIMA) elected Yun Young-mi, chairperson of Highland Food Group, as the 23rd president on the 21st.

On the same day, the Korea Importers Association held its 55th regular general meeting at the Construction Center Conference Room in Nonhyeon-dong, Seoul, where this decision was made.

Yun said, “We will do our best to create a new opportunity for the Korea Importers Association, where policy interests are balanced between exports and imports, so that member corporations can receive fair treatment and support.”

Yun is a female chief executive officer who founded Highland Food Group in 1999 and has grown it into a leading corporation in the meat import market. Highland Food's sales last year amounted to 974.7 billion won.

Yun is actively involved as the 21st and 22nd vice president of the Korea Importers Association, vice president of the Federation of Medium Enterprises (FOMEK), and director of the Korea International Trade Association (KITA) for the 31st and 32nd terms, as well as vice president of the Korea Trade and Commerce Society (KRICAL).
