SeAH Steel Holdings announced on the 14th that King Charles III of the United Kingdom visited SeAH Wind, which manufactures mono-piles, as part of his official visit to the Teesside offshore wind farm.
On the 13th (local time), King Charles III visited SeAH Wind to tour the factory's production line and observe the advanced technological equipment used for mono-pile manufacturing and the work processes of SeAH Wind employees. The visit was attended by SeAH Steel Holdings President Lee Joo-sung, SeAH Wind CEO Son Sung-hwal, and Chief Operating Officer (COO) Peter Ivy.
In addition, graduates and apprentices from the SeAH Wind Academy, along with representatives from major European and local green energy corporations, also visited SeAH Wind with King Charles III. SeAH Steel Holdings held a plaque unveiling ceremony to commemorate the king's visit and conducted an event where participants experienced the size by entering a large steel can with a diameter of 8m, which was produced in the factory.
SeAH Steel Holdings has constructed the world's largest mono-pile factory within the offshore wind farm located in the Teesside region of the UK through SeAH Wind, and is currently conducting final equipment installation and test production ahead of commercial production start in March. So far, investments amounting to 900 million pounds (approximately 1.5 trillion won) have been made, and after completion, it will have an annual production capacity of 400,000 tons of mono-piles.
