Doosan Enerbility has been working with over 340 domestic academia, industry, and research institutions since 2013 to develop large gas turbines for power generation, achieving success in development in 2019 as the fifth in the world through more than 1 trillion won in self-investment and technology development. The gas turbine supplied to Gimpo Combined Heat and Power Plant was successfully commercialized last year, rapidly expanding orders. Doosan Enerbility plans to aim for more than 7 trillion won in orders related to gas turbines over the next five years in Korea, and is currently developing a super-large hydrogen turbine that uses 100% hydrogen as fuel, targeting completion in 2027.

Chairman Park Ji-won noted, “This award today is a recognition that academia, industry, and research institutions have contributed to the domestic power industry by localizing and supplying major power plant equipment.” He added, “Moving forward, I will do my best to contribute to the domestic non-carbon energy industry ecosystem and the revitalization of the local economy.”
