The Korea Exchange announced on the 25th that it held the '2024 Excellent Compliance Awards Ceremony' to select corporations and individuals that contributed to establishing fair trading order and spreading compliance culture.

The exchange evaluated the internal control activities of member firms in terms of ▲compliance monitoring systems ▲compliance with exchange regulations ▲prevention of unfair transactions, selecting Samsung Securities as the top corporation. IBK Securities received the exemplary case award.

Twelve compliance monitors received the individual award. They were recognized for their efforts in actively monitoring unfair transactions and strengthening internal controls through regular checks, contributing to the maintenance of fair trading order.

Kim Geun-ik, chair of the exchange's market surveillance committee, noted, 'The role of compliance monitoring organizations is becoming more significant in building fairness and trust in capital markets.' He added, 'The exchange will continue to work with member firms to create a capital market that can be trusted by investors.'
