Semiconductor inspection equipment corporation ATECo announced on the 21st that it has been selected as a supplier of the "SOCAMM test handler."

According to ATECo, NVIDIA's next-generation memory module, SOCAMM (System-on-Chip with Advanced Memory Module), is a technology that generally combines System on Chip (SOC) and Advanced Memory Module. It is characterized by higher power efficiency compared to existing DRAM modules for small PCs and laptops, and its detachable nature allows users to continuously enhance PC performance.

ATECo claimed that it has grown into a developer capable of supporting all memory module form factors, from DIMM (Dual In-line Memory Module) and CAMM (Compression Attached Memory Module) to SOCAMM.

Lee Taek-seon, representative of ATECo, noted, "ATECo is the first in the world to develop and supply the SOCAMM test handler," adding, "We will be able to gain an advantage in the rapidly growing SOCAMM test handler market."

ATECo is also in the process of developing an "HBM die test handler" that can be applied to HBM3E (5th generation high bandwidth memory), HBM4 (6th generation high bandwidth memory), aiming for release in the second quarter of this year (April to June).
