The World Class Enterprises Association noted that it convened its '2025 regular general meeting' on the 13th. This year's regular general meeting was attended by over 120 participants, including Oh Seung-cheol, head of the Industrial Base Division of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, Min Byung-joo, president of the Korea Industrial Technology Association, and representatives and employees from relevant and cooperative organizations and member companies of the World Class Enterprises Association.
During the regular general meeting, a lecture was held under the theme 'The future of corporations opening up through innovation and sustainability in changing times' to support the growth of member companies of the World Class Enterprises Association. The speaker was Kwon Tae-sin, a senior advisor at Kim & Chang, who has served as the ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), Chief of Staff to the Prime Minister (Minister-level), and president of the Korea Institute for Industrial Economics and Trade.
Kwon emphasized, "The global economy is shaking amid uncertainty and challenges," and stated, "This is precisely the time for innovation spirit and capabilities to shine." He continued, "As changes occur rapidly, such as the transition to the artificial intelligence (AI) era, corporations need to focus on securing talent and creating synergies through networks and collaborations with other corporations."
Following the lecture, the regular general meeting shared the previous year's business performance and achievements of the World Class Enterprises Association and reviewed and approved this year's business plan and budget.
Lee Jun-hyuk, president of the World Class Enterprises Association, stated, "Given that the changes in domestic and international political and economic situations have led each member company to grapple with response strategies, we will do our utmost for the leap and growth of our member companies."
