On the 2nd, Lee Hwan-joo, the newly appointed chairman of KB Kookmin Bank, held an inauguration ceremony at the bank's headquarters in Yeouido, Seoul, and began his term. The chairman noted, 'It is important for customers to feel that KB Kookmin Bank is definitely different through ethical and principled business practices based on strict ethical consciousness,' and added, 'Let’s create a new 'path of trust' with unique determination and commitment toward our customers and society.'

He continued, 'We must continuously identify pain points from the customer's perspective and repeatedly execute desperate innovation processes to fundamentally solve issues through bold refreshment methods.'

The chairman also urged that all employees should have the mindset of being 'whistle blowers' so that they can raise their voices without worrying about anyone's opinions at any time, emphasizing the need for strengthened internal controls.

Immediately after the inauguration ceremony, he visited the Yeouido branch to meet with customers.
