Baek Jong-won, the representative of Theborn Korea, has been reported to have engaged in direct field volunteering following a donation to help wildfire victims.
Previously, it was reported that Baek Jong-won donated 100 million won to support wildfire victims. The Korea Community Chest of Dreams (Chairman Kim Byung-jun) stated on the 27th, "Baek Jong-won, the representative of Theborn Korea, donated 100 million won on the 26th to support the wildfire damage that recently occurred in the Yeongnam region." Baek Jong-won also noted, "I hope this can be a small help to those who have lost their precious homes due to the wildfire," and expressed, "I wish for the safety of everyone, including the firefighters who are dedicating themselves on-site."
Amid this, another heartwarming story was reported today, the 28th. According to Andong City in North Gyeongsang Province, Baek Jong-won visited Andong City to provide warm meals for wildfire victims free of charge. After learning about the wildfire damage in Andong, Baek Jong-won hurriedly left with his staff to volunteer.
Additionally, Theborn Korea, led by Baek Jong-won, is providing more than 300 meals per meal on-site for military and police personnel, as well as firefighters who are involved in fire extinguishing operations, in addition to the victims. It is also reported that meals are being delivered directly to personnel who cannot visit the free meal center due to the wildfire extinguishing work. In particular, it was reported that Baek Jong-won cooked and served meals on-site and consoled the victims. There is much interest in Baek Jong-won's activities, which have shifted from donations to direct field volunteering.
Meanwhile, Baek Jong-won, the representative of Theborn Korea, joined the Honor Society, a high-value donor group of the Korea Community Chest of Dreams, as the 2,409th member in September 2020 and became a gold member of the Honor Society in 2025 (with a cumulative donation of 500 million won) by participating in this special fundraising. From the 21st, the wildfires that have occurred mainly in the Yeongnam region, including Sancheong in South Gyeongsang Province and Uiseong in North Gyeongsang Province, have surpassed the damage scale of the worst-ever wildfires recorded in 2000 on the East Coast. As of now, there have been 26 fatalities and over 36,000 victims, prompting the Korea Community Chest of Dreams to conduct a special fundraising campaign until April 30 to support wildfire damage.
