Actress So Yu-jin donated 30 million won to support wildfire victims.
The Korea Red Cross (Chairman Kim Cheol-soo) announced on the 25th that its ambassador So Yu-jin donated 30 million won for the support of large-scale wildfire victims that occurred in various parts of the country, including Sancheong, Gyeongnam; Uiseong, Gyeongbuk; and Ulju, Ulsan.
Since the wildfire began on the 21st, the Korea Red Cross, which has been conducting emergency relief operations at wildfire damage sites in Sancheong, Gyeongnam; Uiseong, Gyeongbuk; and Ulju, Ulsan, plans to use the donation to support evacuees affected by the wildfires.
So Yu-jin said, "I hope this small contribution can help the evacuees who have been forced to leave their homes due to the wildfire." She also expressed her wishes for the health and safety of those working on wildfire extinguishment and relief efforts on-site.
Since June 2019, So Yu-jin has been active as an ambassador for the Korea Red Cross, continuously donating to support vulnerable groups, including measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19, recovery from wildfire damage in Gangwon Province, and medical expenses for marginalized children.
