As the group NewJeans announced a halt to their activities, ADOR expressed regret.

NewJeans members Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and HAEIN held an emergency press conference in November last year, claiming that their agency ADOR violated their exclusive contract and unilaterally announced the termination of the contract. They then announced a new team name 'NJZ' and began independent activities by creating new social media accounts.

Those who sought to signal a new beginning as NJZ at the ComplexCon concert scheduled for the 23rd faced a setback when a court ruling was issued on the 21st in response to ADOR's injunction application regarding the NewJeans members, which included a request to prohibit activities such as maintaining the status of the agency and entering into advertising contracts.

According to the court's ruling, activities conducted by the members without ADOR's prior approval or consent, either personally (including through legal representatives) or through a third party, are prohibited, making it difficult for the members to use the new name 'NJZ' and engage in independent activities for the time being.

However, the members of NewJeans said, "We, NJZ, respect the court's decision," while noting, "This decision does not sufficiently consider that the members' trust in ADOR has been completely shattered," expressing their intention not to return to ADOR.

The members notified that they would participate in the scheduled ComplexCon concert, and ADOR also stated that they would provide support on-site, but it has been reported that ADOR employees were unable to meet with the members at the concert.

Additionally, NewJeans members continued to interact through the NJZ social media account, selling NJZ merchandise near the concert hall, and introduced themselves as NJZ on the concert venue's electronic billboard.

At the end of the performance, the five members declared, "This stage is very meaningful to us, and everyone who came has been a great source of strength for us," adding, "It weighs heavily on my heart to share this. Today’s stage may be our last performance for the time being. We decided to halt all activities in respect to the court's decision."

They continued, "It's not an easy decision, but we want to gather our strength and move forward. I hope you understand that this is not the end. We will certainly return, and we want to meet you with bright smiles. Thank you so much and we love you. The five of us will always think of our Bunnies, so please stay healthy, eat well, sleep well, and live happily."

In response, ADOR stated on the 24th, "We are very sorry that NewJeans proceeded with a performance under a different name, not NewJeans, despite the court's decision and unilaterally declared a halt to their activities."

They added, "ADOR aims to do its best for NewJeans under a valid exclusive contract" and expressed hope that they can meet with the artists soon to discuss the future.
