“Buried Hearts” has set a new record for its highest rating.

According to the viewership ratings agency Nielsen Korea, the SBS Friday-Saturday drama “Buried Hearts” (written by Lee Myung-hee, directed by Jin Chang-kyu, produced by Studio S, A2Z Entertainment, Purmir Studio) recorded a nationwide rating of 13.1% and 13% in the metropolitan area for its 10th episode aired on March 22, surpassing its own record once again. The peak viewership soared to 14.7%, and the key indicator of channel competitiveness, the 2049 viewership rating, also recorded 2.8%. As a result, “Buried Hearts” secured the top spot for Saturday mini-series, first place in the same time slot across all channels, and first place for weekly dramas.

On that day’s broadcast, the secret of birth surrounding Seo Dong-joo (Park Hyung-sik) began to slowly take shape. However, the secret of birth was so shocking that the home theater was in an uproar. It truly was a plot filled with twists upon twists, leaving viewers stunned.

Earlier, Seo Dong-joo declared to Yeom Jang-seon (Heo Jun-ho) that “what I want is revenge,” stating, “I will kill you when your life holds sufficient value for my revenge.” He also warned Heo Il-do, saying, “You are the attempted murderer who tried to kill Seo Dong-joo but failed. I will make good use of that weakness in the future.” Demonstrating this point, Seo Dong-joo began a full-scale revenge, pressuring the two men from all directions.

First, Seo Dong-joo, who returned to Daesan Group, hastened the promotion of Chief Choi (Kim Min-sang) to vice president according to the wishes of Chairman Cha Gang-cheon (Woo Hyun). At the same time, he sought out Ji Young-soo (Do Ji-won) to utilize the card of Cha Gang-cheon’s illegitimate child, Ji Sun-woo (Cha Woo-min), but he encountered Cha Deok-hee (Kim Jung-nan), the eldest daughter of Cha Gang-cheon and wife of Heo Il-do. Seo Dong-joo's swift movements greatly heightened the anxiety of the Heo Il-do and Cha Deok-hee couple.

Seo Dong-joo used Manager Sung No-jin (Sung No-jin) and Jo Yang-chun (Kim Gi-mu) as pawns, continuing the pressure toward Yeom Jang-seon. In particular, the mention of the “Dandelion data,” which could become a significant weakness for Yeom Jang-seon later on, prompted Seo Dong-joo to think quickly. The “Dandelion data” refers to information from the past when the National Security Planning Agency surveilled key figures, which included Yeom Jang-seon as a target.

In the process, it was revealed that all situations were part of Seo Dong-joo's grand plan, shocking everyone. In fact, Seo Dong-joo had already regained his memory when he saved Heo Il-do from drowning. Seo Dong-joo had saved Heo Il-do, who shot him, for the sake of revenge. When Heo Il-do asked why Seo Dong-joo saved him, Seo Dong-joo ominously replied, “You will come to know the pain to the point of your bones hurting in the future.”

Meanwhile, after hearing from the manager that “I know your father well,” Seo Dong-joo began searching for his biological father, which might be related to the name “Seong-hyun.” He believed that his biological father and his deceased sister were the same person. However, Seo Dong-joo had not shared a drop of blood with his deceased sister.

In the meantime, Seo Dong-joo managed to obtain an old photograph, in which the person holding a young Dong-joo was Yeosun-ho (Joo Sang-wook). Pi Madam (Son Ji-na) suggested that the Yeosun-ho in the photograph might be Seo Dong-joo's biological father. Later, Seo Dong-joo showed the photograph to Yeo Eun-nam (Hong Hwa-yeon). At that moment, Yeo Eun-nam pointed to Yeosun-ho and said, “That’s our dad.” The 10th episode of “Buried Hearts” ended with Seo Dong-joo in a state of great shock.

Episode 10 of “Buried Hearts” depicted Seo Dong-joo’s revenge against Yeom Jang-seon and Heo Il-do in a meticulous and detailed manner, heightening the tension. Additionally, it dropped astounding clues related to the long-hidden secret of Seo Dong-joo’s birth, delivering a significant shock. The actors’ intricate performances kept viewers from taking their eyes off the screen for even a second. As each episode passes, the anticipation for the next episode of the increasingly powerful “Buried Hearts” continues to grow.
