Park Wi from 'Wiracle' directly answered the allegations surrounding him.
On the 21st, a video titled "I will end the controversy" was uploaded to the 'Wiracle' channel. On that day, Park Wi took time to directly answer the questions sent to him.
First, in response to the question "Is it lower limb paralysis or total paralysis?" he said, "Recent subscribers may not know. To be precise, quadriplegia is the correct expression. My fingers have incomplete strength and I am paralyzed below the collarbone. Initially, I was almost completely paralyzed and it was indeed total quadriplegia, but now, fortunately, due to diligent rehabilitation, I can move my upper body to some extent. So, according to my own definition, independent living is possible, but paralysis is still paralysis. In fact, if I were to express it, 'incomplete quadriplegia' has occurred, which might be confusing. For convenience, I express it as lower limb paralysis."
When asked, "How do you cut your nails if you have strength in your hands?" Park Wi showed a nail clipper on the desk and said, "I usually buy this kind of nail clipper. You can place it underneath like this. By pressing down with the palm's strength, I can cut them even if my fingers are weak. It wasn't easy at first. Now I do it very skillfully."
When asked, "How do you type on KakaoTalk?" he said, "I type at this speed," using one hand to type quickly. He noted, "Initially, when Ji-eun was messaging me on KakaoTalk, she would say, 'You don't have to reply, Oppa.'" Ji-eun replied, "I don't know how far you are paralyzed." Park Wi remarked, "Isn't that too excessive? However, when people see me typing with my hands, they are all surprised. Nowadays, I use voice recognition, and it works very well."
On the other hand, Park Wi revealed, "My strength in my right hand has improved since getting married," and Ji-eun added, "Didn’t you say your big toe felt a bit tingly?" surprising everyone.
Following this, questions about physiological phenomena arose. In response to the question, "Do you fart?" Park Wi shared, "I do not. It happens involuntarily. When the abdominal pressure rises, it happens. I remember there was a time when I made a sound while transferring from the wheelchair to a car while on a date with Ji-eun, but luckily, Ji-eun isn’t one to pay much attention to those sounds."
When asked about urination, he replied, "Fortunately, I do feel the urge. It feels different from the sensation of needing to urinate I felt before the injury. In the past, it would cause goosebumps, but now it feels more like a gentle urge coming from somewhere in the bladder."
When asked if he could handle bowel movements by himself, he responded, "It seems that everyone is curious about this, and yes, I can do it. However, I need some tools. As long as I have suppositories, gels, and disposable gloves, I’m all set. For a year and a half to two years after my injury, someone had to help me. But as I didn't want to rely on others any longer, I made up my mind to live independently. It must be tough to insert a suppository with my weak fingers. I threw away over five suppositories and took more than 30 minutes to get one in, but at some point, it just slid in. Since then, it only takes about 10 seconds now."
However, when asked, "Doesn't it feel strange when inserting a suppository?" Park Wi answered, "On the contrary, I felt grateful. When I was in the hospital, the nurses would examine my body, and I realized that I became a patient rather than feeling a sense of masculinity. The nurses would insert suppositories and urinary catheters, and eventually, patients would joke about how we all became just a bunch of rears. Now, being able to use the bathroom by myself is such a huge happiness."
