Park Hyung-sik from "Buried Hearts" dealt a significant blow to Heo Jun-ho and Lee Hae-Young.

On the 22nd, Nielsen Korea reported that the 9th episode of the SBS drama "Buried Hearts" (written by Lee Myung-hee, directed by Jin Chang-kyu), aired on the 21st, achieved a nationwide rating of 12.2% and 12.2% in the metropolitan area, claiming the top spot among all channels in the same time slot and topping the mini-series ratings for the week. The highest momentary rating reached 13.2%, and the 2049 rating was also 2.8%, ranking first among all programs aired on Friday (including dramas, entertainment shows, and news). "Buried Hearts" continues its unstoppable success.

In the broadcast, Seo Dong-joo (played by Park Hyung-sik) once again rose after overcoming a life-threatening crisis, pressuring Yeom Jang-seon (played by Heo Jun-ho) and Heo Il-do (played by Lee Hae-Young) in succession as he set the stage for revenge. For the viewers who witnessed all of Seo Dong-joo's challenges, it was an exhilarating 60 minutes, heightening anticipation for the next step of revenge.

Earlier, Yeo Eun-nam (played by Hong Hwa-yeon) was shocked to learn that the ones who pushed her beloved Seo Dong-joo to the brink of death were Yeom Jang-seon and Heo Il-do. In response, Yeo Eun-nam revealed that she knew all the facts and tried to escape the grasp of Yeom Jang-seon. However, Yeom Jang-seon plotted to eliminate both Seo Dong-joo and Yeo Eun-nam.

Seo Dong-joo locked eyes with Heo Il-do while battling the assailant (played by Sung No-jin). Heo Il-do also came to kill Seo Dong-joo after hearing Yeom Jang-seon's orders, but hesitated upon seeing his son Heo Tae-yoon (played by Yoon Sang-hyun) approaching Seo Dong-joo. Regaining his composure, he eventually found Seo Dong-joo, who was facing off against the assailant. Heo Il-do injected the syringe he brought into the assailant instead of Seo Dong-joo.

As the situation calmed down, Seo Dong-joo asked Heo Il-do, "Why did you spare me today?" and added, "I also saved you, Heo Il-do, twice. When you fell into the sea, right here and now. I'm letting you live instead of killing you," putting pressure on him. It was a situation that was nothing short of great humiliation for Heo Il-do. After learning from the assailant that Yeom Jang-seon planned to kill Yeo Eun-nam, Seo Dong-joo seized Heo Il-do's mobile phone and raced to Yeo Eun-nam.

Thanks to Seo Dong-joo, Yeo Eun-nam survived. Seo Dong-joo pressured Yeom Jang-seon with both Heo Il-do's mobile phone and the phone seized from the hitman assigned to Yeo Eun-nam. Then, Seo Dong-joo provocatively called Yeom Jang-seon, saying, "Wait. I'll return everything to you," and even stormed into the place where Yeom Jang-seon was.

Infuriated by Seo Dong-joo's relentless provocation, Yeom Jang-seon pulled out a gun once more. However, Seo Dong-joo had already completed preliminary work after meeting the elder (played by Choi Kwang-il) who Yeom Jang-seon served. Eventually, under the elder's pressure, Yeom Jang-seon had no choice but to lower the gun. The elder didn’t stop there, pressuring Seo Dong-joo to take over the management of 2 trillion won of political slush funds locked in a Swiss account. Once again, it was a complete defeat for Yeom Jang-seon.

Seo Dong-joo warned Yeom Jang-seon, "I will kill you when your life is worth substituting for my revenge." Furthermore, upon returning to the Daesan family, he declared to Heo Il-do, "You, Heo Il-do, are a failed murderer who attempted to kill me. I will utilize that weakness effectively in the future." The contrasting images of the boastful Seo Dong-joo and the pressured Heo Il-do marked the end of the 9th episode of "Buried Hearts."

The 9th episode of "Buried Hearts" captured viewers' attention with a whirlwind of events as Seo Dong-joo delivered blow after blow to Yeom Jang-seon and Heo Il-do, providing an intense sense of tension and thrill. This included changes concerning the Daesan Group chairman Cha Gang-cheon (played by Woo Hyun), the meeting between Cha Gang-cheon and his illegitimate child Ji Seon-woo (played by Cha Woo-min), the resulting anxiety among the Daesan family members, and hints regarding a child named Seong-hyun, all of which sparked viewer interest.

Interest is growing for the next story of "Buried Hearts," which has turned a corner and unleashed even stronger plot twists. It will air today (22nd) at 9:50 p.m.
