Chef Anh Sung-jae publicly rejected Chef Choi Hyun-seok's invitation to his restaurant.
On the 19th, the YouTube channel 'Chef Anh Sung-jae' uploaded a video titled "Q&A for 400,000 subscribers, so when is Choi Dot?"
In the released video, Anh Sung-jae had a time to answer questions celebrating his surpassing 400,000 subscribers, during which he received a balance game question asking, "Mafia that puts flowers in food vs. Choi Hyun-seok without garlic."
"I dislike both," responded Anh Sung-jae, and when the production team told him he had to choose one of the two, he replied, "I know that Chef Choi Hyun-seok also puts a lot of flowers in his food. In that sense, I will choose the Mafia," after deep consideration.
He also noted, "Actually, it's not that important."
Continuing, Anh Sung-jae said in response to numerous subscribers' questions about whether he has plans to visit Choi Dot, operated by Chef Choi Hyun-seok, "No," he said firmly, drawing attention.
Anh Sung-jae revealed, "I contacted Chef Choi recently; he told me that the menu has changed and asked if I would like to visit. He said, 'Give me honest feedback.' Hearing that, I learned a lot as he challenged me to be a chef who shares, talks, and isn't afraid of criticism, rather than being too stuck or caught up in myself and my cooking."
However, he reiterated, "So, I currently have no plans to visit." At the same time, he showed a hint of apology, saying, "I'm sorry if Chef Choi hears this," which drew laughter.
