Kim Jong-min from 'The Groom Class' shared a proposal story.
In the episode aired on the 19th on Channel A’s entertainment show 'Yojeum Namja Life - The Groom Class' (hereafter 'The Groom Class'), Kim Jong-min met H.O.T. member Tony Ahn and visited NRG member Cheon Myung-hoon's house to engage in 'cheongmo'.
On that day, Kim Jong-min handed invitations to Tony Ahn and Cheon Myung-hoon, revealing his girlfriend's face. Tony Ahn, who was looking closely, said, "She's a beauty. They look great together," and Cheon Myung-hoon also marveled, "Jong-min looks exceptionally good with her."
Tony Ahn and Cheon Myung-hoon expressed their bittersweet feelings about the marriage pressure they felt due to Kim Jong-min's impending marriage, but they moved Kim Jong-min by delivering unofficial congratulatory songs and speeches.
Later, Tony Ahn asked Kim Jong-min, "What was your parents' reaction when you said you were getting married?" Kim Jong-min replied, "I think they probably thought that I wouldn't be able to get married," and then connected the call with his mother. Tony Ahn was curious and asked Kim Jong-min's mom, "How do you feel?"
Kim Jong-min's mother replied, "I feel good. I met a good person." When asked what she liked about Kim Jong-min's girlfriend, she said, "She's kind and sweet. Our family isn't like that. We're pretty blunt," revealing her affection.
Then Kim Jong-min revealed, "When we went to a restaurant, some thought my mom and Hi-yung were mother and daughter. They looked alike, and instead, it made me feel like I was the son-in-law." His mother added, "They said I had a slim face and looked alike." Hearing this, Cheon Myung-hoon joked, "Your mother must have been beautiful when she was young."
Tony Ahn also asked, "Whom do you hope the grandchild will resemble?" Kim Jong-min's mom expressed, "I hope they resemble both. Anyway, I hope you have one soon," revealing her hopes for a second generation. She stated that she wasn't upset about her son getting married and said, "I hope the two of you are happy."
After the call ended, an alarm rang. Kim Jong-min said, "Today is the 900th day with my girlfriend. I set the alarm every 100 days. I always remember. I plan to bring it up first."
Then Kim Jong-min, who smiled brightly, continued, "I should bring flowers today. I think Hi-yung will be waiting to see if I contact her. When I do, she will think, ‘Oh, he still loves me.' I'll have to deepen this, but I think for women, it's important to feel that they are loved. Before meeting, I thought it would be tiring, but seeing her happy when I give her flowers makes me feel good. I realize I have changed."
Meanwhile, Tony Ahn asked who proposed. Kim Jong-min explained, "I rented a whole restaurant, set up lights in the forest, and when I called her name, the lights turned on. I read a letter and asked, 'Will you marry me?' She said one word. (My girlfriend) said, 'Yes.' It was a moment so touching that I cried, and I felt overwhelmed. I think it was the best thing I've done in my life."
As Tony Ahn and Cheon Myung-hoon felt the pressure when it was mentioned that they would soon have a meeting, Kim Jong-min revealed, "You don't have to feel any pressure at all. Preparing for marriage isn't that difficult," showing his mature side and encouraging his older brothers.
