Singer Ben has joined "Shooting Stars."
In the episode of SBS's "Shooting Stars" that aired on the 19th, the ninth match of Group A in the G League was revealed, and Ben was selected as a new player for FC Balladream, greeting viewers for the first time.
As a new member of "Shooting Stars," Ben met Jo Hye-ryeon, who was appointed as the president of the players' association, and even shared an episode about practicing with his daughter on the weekend, catching attention with his extraordinary passion for soccer.
Jo Hye-ryeon said, "Ben had a child. The child is 2 years old. What's impressive is that sometimes he practices soccer while holding the child. This deserves a round of applause. That's amazing," expressing her admiration.
Jo Hye-ryeon continued, "What we need to agree on is that the second child should be born a little later. We can’t have a child right after entering, so adjustments are needed with my husband." It seems she was unaware of Ben's divorce.
Then Ben cautiously said, "But after I go, there won’t be such a thing," and Jo Hye-ryeon joked, "You might go again. I went again," evoking laughter.
Earlier, in August 2020, Ben announced her marriage to Lee Uk, chairman of the W Foundation, and received much congratulation after the wedding ceremony held in June 2021. Notably, Ben revealed her pregnancy in July 2022, a year and a month after the wedding, and embraced her first daughter in March 2023.
However, Ben submitted a divorce mediation application to the court at the end of December 2023, announcing the news of the breakup three years after the wedding ceremony. At that time, her agency, BRD Communication, stated to OSEN, "It is true that Ben has divorced. She will have custody, and the reason for the divorce lies with her husband, Chairman Lee Uk."
