Actor Cha Joo-young showcased her lovely and mysterious charm.
Recently finishing the epic of "The Queen Who Crowns," Cha Joo-young said, "This is the first time I haven't been able to let go of a work (laughs). Even thinking about it now makes me feel emotional. It was my first time playing a woman who is historically symbolic, and I was afraid I would just look like I was imitating no matter what I did, but at some point, I unknowingly became immersed and acted. Just as the character in the drama, The Queen Who Crowns, said to Lee Bang-won, 'You have worked hard as a king,' I want to convey the words to the Queen who crowns, 'You have worked hard living.'
Cha Joo-young will soon show a completely different character as 'Dami,' the wife of a golf course representative, in her screen debut "Lobby." She noted, "As soon as you sit in the theater, you can feel what kind of character Dami is (laughs). It was fascinating to work with director Ha Jung-woo, the genre and production team, and actors who seemed to have come together in ways that are intriguing. I was very curious about the set, and going to the set felt like going out for fun. I diligently watched the seniors acting," raising expectations.
In particular, when it comes to women Cha Joo-young likes, she shared, "I admire someone who does not overly indulge in themselves and exudes an aura as they are. It’s impressive when a person shows themselves quietly rather than adding various explanations to their own things."
Cha Joo-young, who said acting is the only job she has chosen for herself, expressed, "Although there have been trials and errors, I believe that having done this until now is a very good thing and choice. However, I still feel scared and anxious, and I think it will continue to be that way in the future. The next project will take tremendous thought and time to create, and I will head to the set with a question mark at any time."
