The person said, "Since she's my friend's wife, I thought I would just get the birthday ring back and receive an apology to end things. When I contacted my friend, he calmly suggested we talk about it tomorrow. So, I said I would report it to the police and called them. Then he said, 'How can a close friend report me?'"
