Last month, the production team of the MBC entertainment program 'Good Day,' which had proceeded with the participation of actor Kim Soo-hyun, who was accused of having an affair with the late actor Go Min-seon since her minor years, ultimately apologized.

The production company Theo of 'Good Day' noted in a post on its official YouTube channel on the 17th, "We filmed with the intention of deleting Kim Soo-hyun's footage and decided to edit out his segments as much as possible going forward."

Kim Soo-hyun is appearing in 'Good Day' alongside his 1988-born contemporaries, G-Dragon, Yim Siwan, Hwang Kwanghee, Lee Soo-hyuk, and Jung Haein, collectively known as '88z.'

In episode 5 of 'Good Day,' which aired the previous day, Kim Soo-hyun was mentioned in a scene where G-Dragon invited Cho Sae-ho and Code Kunst to his recording studio for a discussion. Furthermore, Kim Soo-hyun was spotted attending a gathering with all the cast members. However, there was no individual segment featuring Kim Soo-hyun.

After Garo Sero Research Institute (Gaseyeon) exposed the allegations of Kim Si-eun's affair with Kim Min-seon, Kim Soo-hyun proceeded with the recording of 'Good Day' on the 13th. In response to this, the production team stated, "We recognize the seriousness of the controversy surrounding the participant and are continuing production while prioritizing viewer reactions," adding that the episode 5 content was already being translated under coordination with MBC and global platforms when the controversy occurred, leading to an urgent edit of Kim Soo-hyun's appearance in the 'Good Day gathering' segment before re-releasing it.

Regarding the recording in which Kim Soo-hyun participated on the 13th, it was explained that, "In a situation where the audio recording was delayed from the original schedule, the production team waited for an official position from his agency regarding the controversy. However, due to the agency indicating that it would issue a statement next week and the difficulty of securing schedules for participants after that date, we had no choice but to proceed with the recording after much deliberation."

It was added, "After careful discussion, we carried out the recording and sketch filming while considering the deletion of (Kim Soo-hyun's) segments to avoid overlaps with other participants as much as possible," and emphasized, "We sincerely apologize for causing concern to those who love 'Good Day.'"

It further explained, "The content from episode 5 that was released starting in the second half was filmed on the 18th of last month, and it will be unfolded over episode 6 and 7, with the production team deciding to edit out Kim Soo-hyun's segments as much as possible," adding, "The individual recording process of the relevant participant filmed on the 13th will not be broadcasted."

The YouTube channel 'Garo Sero Research Institute' (Gaseyeon) claimed on the 10th, citing a phone conversation with Go Min-seon's family, that Kim Soo-hyun had been in a relationship with the then 15-year-old Go Min-seon for six years in 2015. The channel also alleged that after Kim Soo-hyun's agency, Gold Medalist, paid a penalty of 700 million won that Go Min-seon was liable for to the production company of the drama 'Hunting Dogs,' they sent a notice demanding repayment, stating that they would respond legally if it was not repaid.

In response, Kim Soo-hyun's side refuted, saying, "Kim Min-seon and I dated for about a year after she became an adult, and her penalty was settled by our side and then handled as a loss."

Go Min-seon's mother issued a statement demanding a public apology from Kim Soo-hyun and his agency, but Kim Soo-hyun's side responded that they would meet and explain if he contacts the office.
