A year has passed since the voice actor SUK WOO, who was active in 'Detective Conan' and 'Genshin Impact,' left this world.

March 14, 2025, marks the first anniversary of voice actor SUK WOO's death. SUK WOO passed away on March 14, 2024, at the age of 24.

The news of SUK WOO's passing was reported a day later. Fellow voice actor Idalrae said, "I hope for the repose of the deceased's soul. It has been announced that our beloved youngest member of Tooniverse's 11th class, voice actor SUK WOO, left this world on March 14," adding, "It is difficult for fellow voice actors and staff to hide their grief due to the sudden and tragic news. In accordance with the family’s wishes, we convey the final news of the deceased, who cherished and loved their fans."

Idalrae further conveyed, "To all the fans who loved voice actor SUK WOO and remember their performances, we ask that you pray together for our beloved fellow to rest peacefully there."

Born in 2000, SUK WOO joined the CJ E&M Voice Acting Company 11th class in 2021. At that time, SUK WOO, the youngest voice actor at age 21, gained recognition for voicing the character Saino in the game 'Genshin Impact,' and was active in animations such as 'Crayon Shin-chan' and 'Detective Conan,' as well as in games like 'Cookie Run: Kingdom' and 'Dungeon and Fighter.'

The announcement of SUK WOO's death was particularly heartbreaking as it came just before transitioning from a Tooniverse contract voice actor to a freelance voice actor. Voice actor Nam Do-hyung memorialized them with a fixed comment saying, "Thank you, sincerely," while Alejandro Sab noted about the North American version of 'Genshin Impact,' "It is so sad." A memorial post was also shared on the official SNS account and official cafe for 'Genshin Impact,' stating, "We express our heartfelt gratitude to voice actor SUK WOO for lending their beautiful voice to Saino.
