Singer and actress IU praised the character of actor Park Bo-gum, who starred in 'My Lovely Liar' in the web entertainment program 'Salon Drip 2.'

On 11th, IU appeared as a guest in the web entertainment program 'Salon Drip 2,' which was released on YouTube. He talked about his current situation and the new Netflix series 'My Lovely Liar' with the host, comedian Jang Do-yeon.

'Salon Drip 2' has accumulated enough episodes to reach 81. IU expressed strong affection by saying, "It’s the program I’ve wanted to appear on the most." He also showed interest by saying, "I found the episode featuring Bo-gum very enjoyable."

Regarding the character Aesoon that he plays in 'My Lovely Liar,' he described it as "a character who looks delicate but is actually strong inside and a bit cheeky and lively on the outside." He noted, "If Aesoon were in reality, I think I could have become really close friends with her. She’s a character who can’t stand being wronged and is clear-cut. I like people who do their job well. You can’t do your job well without considering others' feelings."

In particular, he praised Park Bo-gum, who plays the character Gwan-sik, saying, "Combining the two qualities I mentioned, the good and hardworking person is Park Bo-gum." He stated, "If someone worked with Park Bo-gum but didn't like him, that person is weird." Jang Do-yeon also empathized, saying, "How could he have no flaws?"

IU remarked, "First of all, Park Bo-gum really has great stamina. Stamina is the foundation of all kindness. No matter how difficult it is, I got angry and ended up shouting, 'Aren't you tired?' Yet, he would say, 'Jieun, I’m okay. Thank you for worrying about me.'"

Additionally, IU explained, "There was a difficult scene that required many takes. After that scene, it was natural to be exhausted. Since it was a full shot, it was just Bo-gum and me, and we had to wear microphones that could pick up our voices."

He continued, "In the meantime, I thought I’d be too tired to speak, but I saw him whispering, 'Director, I could have done better, and I’m sorry I couldn't do more.' After seeing that, I felt angry with myself for not being like that kind of person."

Jang Do-yeon, seemingly in disbelief, joked, "Didn’t you think, 'Jieun, you’ll talk about this on air, right?'" IU laughed and replied, "If it were a different friend, I would take it as a joke, but it’s not the case with Park Bo-gum," adding, "Didn’t I cry even here?"
