Ayumi, former member of the group Sugar, has revealed her parenting life with her husband for the first time.
On the afternoon of the 12th, Ayumi appeared on TV Chosun’s 'Perfect Life' and shared her daily life with her daughter.
That day, Ayumi, who unveiled her cute daughter, said, "She was born in June last year and is now in her 9th month."
She said, "I gave birth to my first child at 39 years old, which is considered late. I have pains here and there," adding that, "I gained weight after giving birth, so my cholesterol level has increased and I even developed plantar fasciitis."
She continued, "I gained 20 kg during pregnancy. I lost 10 kg after giving birth, but the remaining 10 kg just won’t budge. I want to be slim again, but if I diet too much, I lose strength and can’t take care of my child well, so I want to create a strong and healthy body."
After moving in January, Ayumi shared her home for the first time, spending time reading books to her daughter. Her daughter, Sea-ah, showed curiosity about the book and caught attention as she diligently read with her mother.
In response to the MC's comment that it seems like her daughter understands words, Ayumi said, "She is my daughter but seems smart. I wonder if I gave birth to a genius," adding, "When I tell her to touch something, she touches it, and when I say 'Ah~', she also responds 'Ah~.'"
Ayumi, who fed her daughter solid food, said she makes and portions the baby food herself, stating, "I make something new every 3 days to check for allergies."
Additionally, Ayumi was busy moving around, quickly standing to eat while her child napped, and doing the dishes and housework. Doctors advised her that this was not good for her diet, suggesting she eat three meals a day, ensure she gets all five food groups, increase muscle mass, and engage in high-intensity interval training at least three times a week.
In the evening, her husband returned home from work and prepared dinner for Ayumi, who had a difficult day with parenting. He showcased his cooking skills by making tofu sushi and okonomiyaki.
Her husband suggested, "Don’t you want to have another one? I wish we had one more son," to which Ayumi replied, "I still haven’t recovered from the swelling. Let’s talk about it again after I exercise and get healthy."
When asked how she met her husband, she said, "We met through a friend, and there was a comfort as if we were old friends. The conversation was fun, and our tastes were similar. We kept seeing each other every day for a month and decided to marry after 8 months," adding, "He’s supportive and has a brother-like side to him, and we have good chemistry."
While Ayumi was doing the dishes, her husband finished bathing their daughter, and after putting the child to sleep, they finally clocked out from parenting. The couple ordered tteokbokki and sundae fried food, laughing as they said they would start their diet from the next day.
Ayumi asked her husband, "Was I prettier when we were dating? Am I prettier now?" and he replied, "When we were dating," but added, "You are lovely now."
He also sweetly addressed concerns about her career disruption post-birth, saying, "It’s just a temporary break because of childbirth; I hope you don’t think it’s over. Don’t worry. I’ll help you."
