In "The Lonely Brother," Oh Na-ra clarified to Park Young-kyu, who mistakenly thought she was cohabiting with her boyfriend of 25 years without marriage, and mentioned the reason for not getting married.

Oh said, "I drank while filming the drama 'The Man from Nowhere'; I was always in a drinking atmosphere (with colleagues), and I drank well." She continued, "In fact, I became romantically involved with my boyfriend after drinking," and Shin Dong-yeob also noted, "It's the most beautiful first meeting in the world."
When asked about their first meeting, Oh Na-ra replied, "We met at a gathering after a musical performance," to which Park Young-kyu asked, "Is he your husband?" Oh said, "Anyway, I met him at the musical, we drank at the gathering, and I vomited. I fell in love with the way he helped me, it was charming. I kissed him with my mouth that had just thrown up," and added, "Since then, I don't drink like that anymore; there have been no mistakes since then."
