Actor Song Il-gook suffered because he is too handsome.
On the 9th, appearing as a guest on TV Joseon's 'Heo Young-man's Meal Tour', Song Il-gook said, "I went for musical auditions. I was mostly rejected. The only one I passed was 'Mamma Mia.'" Heo Young-man was surprised, asking if the great Song Il-gook was going around for auditions.
In response, Song Il-gook added, "Even for 'Billy Elliot,' I attended the audition because the producer strongly encouraged me. I naturally thought I would pass. It was a role of a coal miner, but they said, 'He's too handsome for a miner,' and I was rejected," which drew laughter.
