In 'Being Single,' Hwang Jung-eum revealed her life with her mother and shared her recent situation, noting that she couldn't keep up with the energy of her two sons.
On the 4th, during the broadcast of SBS Plus and E Channel's entertainment program 'Being Single,' Hwang Jung-eum shared her current living situation with her mother.
After greeting the energetic oldest son Wang-sik and the cute youngest son Gang-sik in the morning, Hwang Jung-eum looked at her sons with loving eyes. Hwang Jung-eum expressed affection, saying, "My treasure No. 1, I feel like you came to this world to make me happy."
At that time, someone helped with the childcare in the kitchen. It turned out to be her mother, who is said to be turning 70 this year. Hwang Jung-eum shared, "I live with my mom, who cares for the kids and manages the household. I work hard to be the breadwinner outside." Hwang Jung-eum added, "Before the first was 100 days old, I took care of everything, but my mom kept worrying and said I should just work because she would take care of them." She then responded to the children, saying, "Grandma is Ma, and I’m Dad."
In particular, her mother called Hwang Jung-eum "Princess." Hwang Jung-eum said, "My mom always told me to live like a princess," which moved everyone. She also mentioned, "In addition to this, there's an auntie who has been helping for the last eight years."
Hwang Jung-eum then headed to pick up her two sons. The oldest son awkwardly smiled and asked, "Why are you suddenly doing this?" after receiving a kiss from Hwang Jung-eum. The family arrived home and faced even more challenges after school. Hwang Jung-eum engaged in a 'play war' with her children, and later in the yard, there was a camping tent filled with trampolines and camping gear.
While rushing around the yard, they needed to keep running in circles. When asked if she usually plays with them like this, Hwang Jung-eum replied, "I've had a lot of work to do, so I make sure to play on my days off," as she busily played with the kids in the large yard. However, her enthusiasm was short-lived as she exclaimed, "I can't do this anymore," raising a white flag and eliciting laughter.
At that time, a stranger visited the house. It turned out to be the physical education teacher of her two sons, someone who filled the absence of their father due to the difficulty in managing them physically. Hwang Jung-eum said, "The teacher supplements what I can't do; he taught them things like cycling and scooters," and when asked if home visits by the teacher might be expensive, she noted, "It's more economical than taking them both to a kids' cafe."
Hwang Jung-eum mentioned, "It would be best if their dad could play with them, but that's not possible right now; the physical education teacher does everything." When asked if the children feel the absence of their father, Hwang Jung-eum replied, "Sometimes they say they miss their dad, and I tell them to 'call and see him, meet him,' so they naturally set up dates with their dad." Hwang Jung-eum also remarked, "I think the oldest one felt the absence when we first divorced; it was different from how it is now. Now, they recognize their dad as someone they can see whenever they want," drawing attention.
