Musical actor and singer Lee Ji-hoon and his wife Ayane have identified the cause of their 8-month-old daughter's skin disease.

Ayane expressed her gratitude on the 4th, saying, "We received a diagnosis of impetigo. Thank you once again to those who were worried and sent DMs."

She continued, "Taking antibiotics definitely seems to improve her condition in just one day," adding, "It’s not a situation where she should have gotten impetigo (no wounds on her body, no swimming pool exposure, no daycare), so it’s a bit surprising that it occurred, but I feel reassured knowing the cause. (At first, I thought it was some rare disease)" she said, hinting at the stress she has been under.

Earlier, on the 1st, Lee Ji-hoon shared a video of himself receiving an IV at a university hospital, saying, "I’m sorry for not being attentive as a dad. Thank you for being strong and not crying. My love, No. 2."

Ayane mentioned, "About two weeks ago, she developed what looked like hives or acne, and initially, I thought it was just a simple diaper rash and applied ointment while monitoring it. However, it suddenly spread, so I visited a pediatrician, who suggested it seemed like a diaper rash, and I applied the medication prescribed by the hospital. But it suddenly erupted like chickenpox and spread, so I had to revisit the pediatrician, and ultimately, the doctor advised that it would be better to check at a university hospital, so we came in for emergency care and tests today."

However, it was an inflammation of unknown origin. Ayane said, "We still haven't identified the cause, and I can't know exactly what the disease is, but the test results are normal, so it seems like we’ll have to wait and see while administering the medication."

She added, "Fortunately, the test results showed no abnormal findings, so we didn’t have to be hospitalized and returned home. Ruhee seems to be fine; she plays well, eats well, and sleeps well, so I feel a bit more at ease. I feel very sorry for not being able to take good care of her as I've been busy with interpretation work for the past few days. I can’t turn back time!! I will do my best to provide care for my child to ensure she recovers well!"

On the 2nd, she expressed gratitude, saying, "Thank you to everyone who shared their experiences and feedback after seeing my post or article." She noted, "I wrote it as a rash, but actually, it looks like this. Initially, it was only on her buttocks, but now it has appeared on two places on her legs; however, there are no other areas affected. If any moms have had similar experiences, I would appreciate your advice," she requested. She added, "Fortunately, Ruhee doesn’t seem to be in much pain," saying, "Thank you for enduring, my little one. It must be painful and itchy, but you don’t cry. Instead, I’ll cry a bit for you."

The photos released showed Lee Ji-hoon and Ayane's daughter with red inflammation for unknown reasons. The severe inflammation in several areas evoked sympathy from viewers.

In response, netizens suggested they get a check-up for impetigo again, and Lee Ji-hoon and Ayane ultimately received a diagnosis of impetigo. Netizens are sending supportive messages, saying, "I’m glad you found out the cause," "Wishing for a clean recovery without scarring," and "Hang in there, Ruhee's mom and dad."
