The flower that never bloomed, the late Sojin from Baby Kara, has been gone for 10 years.

Today (the 24th) marks the 10th anniversary of Sojin's passing, who rose to prominence through Baby Kara.

The late Sojin was found collapsed in a flower bed at an APT. in Daedeok-gu, Daejeon, on Feb. 24, 2015, and was taken to a hospital but ultimately passed away. She was 23 years old. The tragedy is even greater as the deceased had worked hard to realize her dream of being in a girl group, and many fans expressed their condolences as the news spread.

At the time, a representative from DSP Media, where Sojin was a trainee, said, "Sojin had recently terminated her contract with us. Please refrain from making assumptions as her family is very distressed." The late Sojin was reported to have suffered from depression during her lifetime.

Sojin joined DSP Media as a trainee and gained recognition by participating in MBC Music's cable channel show "Kara Project: The Beginning," which aimed to select new members for Kara in 2014.

However, the late Sojin ultimately could not join Kara as a new member and tragically ended her life early. At that time, reactions among those involved included lamentations that a youth so bright had faded too soon without even having a chance to spread her wings.

In addition, the foreign media outlet Billboard.com reported, "The trainee Sojin, who participated in the Kara Project, has lost her life." This outlet expressed sorrow by stating, "She was a trainee who worked hard for five years to become an idol star."

The sudden death of the late Sojin also prompted condolences from senior peers. Rainbow member Jaekyung noted, "She was a friend who always reminded me of my initial aspirations. I hope she can happily sing her heart out over there," while Noul said, "I really hoped she would do well. Sojin, now that it’s too late, I wonder what I could possibly say, but I hope she lives happily over there without any pain."
