"I have no more words to express it."
The whole of Germany is marveling at Harry Kane's (33) monstrous season. Even Uli Hoeneß (74), honorary president of Bayern Munich, praised him as "the best signing in the club's history."
German outlet Sport1 reported on the 24th (Korean time), "Kane has effectively carried Bayern Munich to the DFB-Pokal title almost single-handedly. Everyone is heaping praise on the superstar."
Bayern crushed Stuttgart 3-0 in the 2025-2026 DFB-Pokal final held at the Olympiastadion in Berlin, Germany on the day.
The protagonist was undoubtedly Kane. He opened the scoring with a diving header in the 10th minute of the second half, added a goal in the 35th minute of the second half and completed a hat trick by converting a penalty in stoppage time of the second half. He effectively finished the game on his own.
With this hat trick, Kane finished the season with an astonishing 61 goals in 51 official matches. That includes 36 in the Bundesliga, 10 in the Pokal, 14 in the UEFA Champions League and 1 in the German Super Cup.
He also made new history. Kane became the third player ever to score in every round of the Pokal in a single season. Scoring in every round including the final was last achieved by Dieter Müller in 1976-1977 and Dirk Kurtenbach in 1986-1987.
Scoring 10 goals in a single Pokal season is also an extraordinary figure. Only Bayern legend Gerd Müller's 11 goals in 1976-1977 stand above Kane.
After the match, Hoeneß could not hide his excitement. He told ARD, "There are no more words to describe the superstar," and praised, "Kane is the best signing in Bayern's history."
He then drew a firm line regarding the possibility of Kane's transfer. Hoeneß said, "Absolutely not. Bayern is a club that buys players, not one that sells them."
At the same time, he did not forget to taunt FC Barcelona. Recently in Spain there has been talk that Barcelona want Kane as a replacement for Robert Lewandowski, who is reportedly likely to leave the team this summer.
On that, Hoeneß sneered, "Besides, Barcelona doesn't have money, does it?"
Kane was also moved. He said, "It's truly an honor. This club has had so many great players," adding, "It was a huge decision for me and my family. Now I feel like I'm part of Bayern's history."
Manager Vincent Kompany also joined the chorus of praise. Kompany said, "He is an amazing player. It's not just that he's good technically. His presence for the team is enormous," and added, "I don't know how he can score so many goals and still always put the team first."
He added with a laugh, "It's always the same. After the game, when you ask, 'Did Kane score today?' the answer is, 'Yeah, he scored three.' It's truly a crazy level."
With this title, Bayern reached the top of the DFB-Pokal for the 21st time in the club's history. At the same time, they completed the double along with the Bundesliga title.
This season Bayern recorded an astounding 46 wins in 55 official matches. That ties the club record set in the treble-winning 2012-2013 season.
