NC Dinos infielder Do Tae-hoon entered as a substitute in the sixth game of the season against the KT Wiz in the 2026 Shinhan SOL KBO League at Suwon KT Wiz Park on the 24th and suffered an unexpected injury.
Do Tae-hoon attempted to steal second base in the changed situation of two outs, runners on first and second after Park Si-won hit a line drive to second and Kim Hyung-jun hit a sacrifice fly, but while heading to second he collided violently with second baseman Kim Sang-su. Kim Sang-su covered Do Tae-hoon from above as he slid in during the catching process. The result was a failed steal.
Both players fell to the ground. Kim Sang-su got up on his own and went into the dugout, but Do Tae-hoon remained lying on the ground complaining of pain. After emergency treatment, he was loaded onto an ambulance that had entered the field and transported to a hospital. NC and KT fans alike watched Do Tae-hoon with anxious eyes.
An NC official said, "Player Do Tae-hoon collided with an opposing fielder during the baserunning in the top of the seventh and sustained a bruise to the right clavicle area, and he was moved to a nearby hospital. He is scheduled for examination."
