Kiwoom Heroes of professional baseball secured a thrilling come-from-behind walk-off victory thanks to Kim Woong-bin's walk-off home run.
Kiwoom defeated the SSG Landers 7-6 on the 19th at Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul in the '2026 Shinhan Bank SOL Bank KBO League.' With the dramatic walk-off victory, they extended their winning streak to two games.
Kim Woong-bin became the game's hero by capping his first home run of the season with a walk-off. This was the first time Kim Woong-bin recorded a walk-off hit. Lim Byung-wook had three hits, and Choi Joo-hwan and Kim Keon-hee also contributed with multi-hit games.
Starting pitcher Park Jung-hoon allowed six hits in six innings (one home run), three walks, one hit by pitch, two strikeouts and five runs. The bullpen, which continued with Kim Sung-jin (one inning, one run)–Won Jong-hyun (one inning, no runs)–Kanakubo Yuto (one inning, no runs), laid the foundation for the walk-off victory.
With the two teams deadlocked at 6-6, in the bottom of the ninth with one out, Kim Woong-bin hit a walk-off home run over the center-field wall off SSG closer Cho Byung-hyun. It was his first home run of the season, and the distance was measured at 130 meters.
