Korea Sports Leisure will launch prevention activities to eradicate illegal gambling among youth and to promote a healthy sports culture.
Korea Sports Leisure Co., Ltd., the trustee operator of sports Toto, a sports promotion lottery issued by the Seoul Olympic Memorial National Sports Promotion Foundation, said it will participate in a joint campaign to eradicate youth illegal gambling in connection with the "2026 youth gambling problem prevention week" commemorative event to be held under the Cheongdam Bridge at Ttukseom Hangang Park in Seoul on the 14th.
The event is jointly hosted by the Gambling Business Supervisory Commission and the Ministry of Education and organized by the Korea Problem Gambling Agency (KPGA). With the theme "Stop gambling, that's winning!", various prevention programs targeting youth and parents are scheduled to be held.
Korea Sports Leisure and Korea Sports Promotion Foundation (KSPO) will operate a joint campaign booth called "Caught it! Illegal gambling, let's protect it! Our future" at the event site. They plan to raise awareness of youth gambling problems and the dangers of illegal gambling and contribute to spreading a healthy sports and leisure culture through prevention education and experiential content.
The booth will be divided into an education zone and an experience zone. In the education zone, materials related to youth gambling problems will be provided, along with pledges to protect youth and to eradicate illegal gambling, and educational programs such as the "ZEP QUIZ" using the Metaverse platform will be available.
In particular, the ZEP Quiz is structured so that participants can learn about ways to identify youth gambling problems, how to respond, and related systems in quiz format, which is expected to improve participants' understanding.
In the experience zone, mini-game–based participatory programs such as a "illegal gambling" whack-a-mole and a healthy-use pledge roulette game will be held. It is designed so that young people can more easily and intuitively feel the dangers of illegal gambling.
A Korea Sports Leisure official said, "Youth gambling problems are an important social issue that requires attention from families, schools and communities beyond individual deviance," and added, "We will continue to carry out prevention activities to eradicate youth illegal gambling and to promote a healthy sports culture."
Meanwhile, in addition to operating experience booths, the event will feature various programs such as youth cultural performances, signing ceremonies for business agreements, awards for youth contests, a gambling prevention musical and a hip-hop contest.
