The professional baseball Samsung Lions blew the whistle on a six-game winning streak.
Samsung defeated the NC Dinos 5-4 in an away game at Changwon NC Park on the 9th. It was their sixth straight win since the Daegu Hanwha Eagles game on the 3rd. Choi Hyung-woo became the first player in KBO history to reach 550 doubles.

Tied 2-2 in the eighth, Choi Hyung-woo drew a walk and Díaz got a hit to create a one-out, runners on first and second opportunity. Goo Ja-wook's grounder was misplayed by first baseman Seo Ho-cheol, allowing the runner on second, Choi Hyung-woo, to go to third and then dive home, while Goo Ja-wook reached second. It was 3-2. In the continuing runners on second and third chance, Jeon Byung-woo ripped a double to center field to extend the lead to three runs.
In NC's eighth-inning at-bat, after one out, Han Seok-hyun and Park Min-woo drew walks to set up a 1-2 base chase. Choi Jeong-won's grounder to second made it two outs with runners on first and third, and Lee Woo-sung's two-run single cut the deficit to one. Seo Ho-cheol struck out, and no dramatic moment followed.
Samsung starter Jurado recorded a no-decision with six innings, five hits allowed, two walks, five strikeouts and two runs. Jeon Byung-woo went 2 for 4 with two RBIs including the go-ahead double in the eighth and one run scored, and Choi Hyung-woo went 2 for 3 with two runs scored.
NC starter Shin Min-hyuk went 5⅔ innings, allowing four hits, three walks, two strikeouts and two runs.
