The professional baseball team LG Twins achieved a sellout streak of nine consecutive home games.
LG succeeded in selling out the game against NC Dinos at Jamsil Stadium one hour and 30 minutes before the 1 p.m. start. The LG club said, "A total of 23,750 spectators were sold out. The sellout time was 3:30 p.m. This is the LG Twins' 14th sellout of the 2026 season, and with nine consecutive sellouts it ties the single-season consecutive sellout record at Jamsil Stadium," the club said.
This is based on records since 2001 when the KBO completed spectator electronic counting (excluding COVID-19). LG achieved nine consecutive sellouts including the April 11–12 games against SSG, April 14–16 against Lotte, April 21–23 against Hanwha, and the April 1 game against NC.
Doosan Bears set a record of nine consecutive sellouts from the April 17 game against KIA through the April 30 game against Samsung.
LG recorded sellouts in 14 of 15 home games this season. Only one game failed to sell out. On April 10 at Jamsil against SSG, 23,122 people attended, falling 628 short of a sellout.
LG has the most total spectators among the 10 clubs with 355,622 fans over 15 games. The occupancy rate is a whopping 99.82%.
Last year LG recorded 43 sellouts in 71 home games, setting a club record with a cumulative attendance of 1,542,458.
Against NC, LG will start Hong Chang-ki (right field), Cheon Seong-ho (third base), Austin (first base), Moon Bo-gyeong (designated hitter), Song Chan-ui (left field), Oh Ji-hwan (shortstop), Park Hae-min (center field), Park Dong-won (catcher) and Gu Bon-hyeok (second base).
The starting pitcher is Tolhurst. He has a 3–1 record and a 4.50 earned run average in five starts this season. <
