Casemiro (34, Man United) is increasingly likely to choose the United States over the Middle East. The direction of his choice is clear. It's the next stage, not the money.
British outlet Mirror reported on the 29th (Korea time) that Casemiro rejected a huge offer from Saudi Arabia and prefers a move to Inter Miami. With a split from Manchester United likely at the end of this season, his next destination is taking shape.
Saudi clubs Al Hilal and Al Nassr offered terms worth tens of millions of pounds, but Casemiro is said to be giving more weight to a move to the United States considering living conditions for his family.
Inter Miami has already moved aggressively. Co-owner David Beckham is directly involved in the recruitment, and the club has offered a contract running through 2028. It is reported to include a one-year extension option.
There is another factor influencing the decision: the chance to play alongside Lionel Messi (39). Messi also extended his contract through 2028. Wearing the same uniform and playing together is an attractive option for Casemiro.
Man United is already taking steps toward a split. Co-owner Jim Ratcliffe is pushing to restructure the high wage bill and has identified Casemiro, who earns about 400,000 pounds a week, as a candidate to be moved on. The funds secured will be used to sign a new midfielder.
A replacement list has actually been drawn up. Elliot Anderson, Aurélien Tchouaméni, Adam Wharton, and Carlos Valerón are among the candidates.
Casemiro is still proving his competitiveness. He has played a central role in the team's recent rise in form and contributed to the climb in league standings.
