The game was almost a carbon copy of the previous day.
The KBO League's KT Wiz earned a walk-off victory in the 10th inning against the LG Twins for the second straight day.
KT defeated LG 5-4 in a 10th-inning walk-off at Suwon KT Wiz Park on the 29th. The previous day, on the 28th, they had won 6-5 in a 10th-inning walk-off.
KT trailed 1-3 through six innings. The day before, they trailed 0-2 through six innings. For now, in the promised bottom of the seventh, against LG's Woo Kang-hoon, leadoff hitter Jang Sung-woo reached on a walk and advanced to second on a wild pitch. With one out and runners on first and second, Kim Sang-su's opposite-field single made it first and third, and Bae Jeong-dae struck out.
Pinch-hitter Lee Jeong-hoon came to the plate and drew a four-pitch walk to create a two-out, bases-loaded chance. Pinch-hitter Yoo Jun-kyu hit a two-run double to right that cleared the outfield fence against Woo Kang-hoon to tie the game 3-3.
In the top of the 10th, with one out and a runner on third, Austin's RBI single put LG ahead 4-3. Down by one, KT's leadoff hitter in the bottom of the 10th, Yoo Jun-kyu, drew a walk and after a failed sacrifice bunt it became one out, runner on first. Choi Won-joon and Kim Hyun-soo drew back-to-back walks to put KT in a one-out, bases-loaded situation.
Jang Sung-woo hit a two-run double off reliever Kim Young-woo that struck the left-field wall on a full count to win it in a come-from-behind walk-off.
Manager Lee Kang-cheol said, "So Hyeong-jun fulfilled his role as a starter. The relievers who came in after him also held well and laid the foundation for the comeback," and added, "In the late innings the offense got momentum when Yoo Jun-kyu delivered the tying hit. We gave up the lead again in extra innings, but the players never gave up, created chances, and veteran Jang Sung-woo finished the game with a walk-off hit."
Lee said, "The players worked hard, and thanks to the fans' passionate support we were able to get walk-off wins two days in a row."
