Korea Expressway Corporation (KEC) Hi-Pass volleyball team strengthened its roster by signing former Japan national team outside hitter Uchiseto Mami.
Korea Expressway Corporation (KEC) said it signed Uchiseto Mami as its Asia quota player for the 2026-27 season for a total annual salary of $150,000.
Uchiseto Mami is a veteran outside hitter who served as a mainstay of the Japan national team for about nine years starting in 2014. In particular, she is regarded as a player with stable receiving and defensive skills, having been selected as the "best receiver" at the 2017 International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) Grand Champions Cup.
Korea Expressway Corporation (KEC) plans to further strengthen the team's hallmark cohesive defensive structure through this signing. If Uchiseto Mami anchors the receive line, the team expects to secure more varied options in its offensive development.
Uchiseto Mami said she was honored to join Korea Expressway Corporation (KEC). She added that she wants to adapt quickly to the team and show the corporation's distinctive cohesive volleyball and that she will do her best with the goal of winning the championship.
